I've never given much int...Very interesting :)<br /><br />I've never given much intentional thought to this topic but it does cross my mind as I'm reading. <br /><br />When religions are mentioned in fiction, I'm often curious as to why the author included a particular belief system - does it embody a part of their wordview or that of someone they know? Is it just a world building tool as you describe? Is it cynical or idealistic?<br /><br />As a Christian, religion in fiction definitely grabs my attention for good or ill.
