Winter Pinterest Challenge: Banana Chocolate Cookies

I've been making recipes from my Pinterest boards a lot lately, but have never really been into photographing food. Mostly, I'm into eating food. And photographing my baby. Whose cheeks are practically edible. Case in point:

But I decided to try food photography for the Winter Pinterest Challenge over on Young House Love.

So here goes:

I made Banana Chocolate Cookies pinned here from Lynn's Kitchen Adventures. OHMYGOODNESS. So delicious. Definitely a nice change from plain old banana bread.

The only thing I changed from the original recipe was to decrease the sugar a smidgen. I also added cinnamon and walnuts.

Next time I think I'll increase the whole wheat flour. They were super fluffy as is and the more whole wheat the better.

So there it is, first pinterest challenge complete! Highly recommend the cookies if you have some old banana to use up, or just love cookies. Because they're awesome.

Thanks for stopping by!

Oatmeal chocolate chip are my favorite cookie. I don't see how you could go wrong adding banana and whole wheat flour to the mix. I'll definitely have to try these. And I can't deny the deliciousness of your baby's cheeks. What a cutie!

Um... MMM!! lol. I will go and buy some bananas, let them get old JUST to use for these. You made them look amazing!! (well, i don't know if it was you, or those chubby cheeks! :-) Are you only adding more wheat to replace all-purpose four? Or doesn't it make it different another way?

Thanks Sarah! You should definitely try them. My hubby and I ate way too many of them and now they're gone. I may have to go buy some discounted bananas. lol

Gina- I'm planning on adding more whole wheat to replace some of the all purpose. It might effect the texture though, so the first time you make it, I would recommended sticking with the recipe as is, and then tweaking it according to your family's tolerance for whole wheat. I tend to add more until we notice it, and then scale back a bit. Thanks! :-)
